Hockey Day In Cayuga is a fundraising event scheduled for Saturday, September 13th, 2025, at the Cayuga Memorial Arena. Proceeds will support Cayuga Minor Hockey, the Haldimand River Kings, and the Haldimand Rivercats.
Nearly 1,000 young people between the ages of 3 and 22 will represent Haldimand County-based organizations.
Several promotional activities are planned to raise awareness of the event. One is this Sunday, July 27th.
Lion Floyd Moerschfelder has been crushing beer cans—more than 250,000 cans to date!—to support our youth hockey, baseball, and organizations. His initiative has resulted in over $30,000.00 in donations to date. His goal is to raise $50,000.00.
Hockey Day In Cayuga will support the Fisherville Lions Club project to collect bottles and cans for Lion Floyd's goal.
This Sunday, there is a photo opportunity to get a group picture with many boys and girls of all ages in their team jerseys, along with Lion Floyd.
