U9 River Kings are Bradford Tournament Champions!!

On March 17th the U9 River Kings traveled to Bradford to play their final tournament of the year. They started off playing East Gwillimbury Eagles. The boys were ready to play and came out with a 8-2 win. Later that day we were matched up with East Nipissing Vipers. The team picked up where they left off the first game and came out with a 8-1 win. Welland Tigers February 12th

Welland Tigers came to play the River Kings on February 12th in Dunnville. The River Kings came out strong but the Welland goalie shut the door and the score was tied 0-0 after the first period. The second period was like the first but the River King were able to get on the board and lead 1-0 after two periods. In the third Wellard started to press and late in the period got two quick goals to win the game 2-1. Nolan Hartwick and Landon ford were awarded the crown and the helmet for there hard work on the ice. These two play the wing together on a line and word well with one another. ...

Glancaster Bombers February 9th

On Thursday Glancaster came to Dunnville to battle the River Kings. This was a well played game by both teams. The boys gave their all but came up on the wrong end of a 4-2 game. Nolan Hartwick was awarded the King of the game with his relentless back checking and his offensive pressure on the puck. Bentley Rodgers received the hard hat. He was able to make save after save to keep his Kings team in the game. He has been solid in net all year for the Kings. Congratulations to both boys on a great game.

Saturday the River Kings played 2 games The first was against the Burlington Eagles. The boys were a little flat to start the morning game off but continued to fight through out the game but came up short at the final buzzer. Up next was the undefeated Richmond Hills Stars team. This game the River Kings were ready to play and came out with a goal on their first shift. Richmond Hills tied it up a little while later in the period. The teams continued to go back and forth. Niagara Falls Tournament vs Quinte West

On February 3rd the U9 River Kings played the Quinte West Hawks in Niagara Falls. The boys came out flying and put 2 quick goals on the board. Quinte pushed back but the guys stood strong and kept the pressure on them. When the final buzzer sounded the kings won 7-0. Landon Ford was awarded the king of the game. He notched his first goal on full ice and played a well positioned game. Jaxon Packham was awarded the hardest working player of the game with his solid defensive game and his tape to tape passes. Congratulations to both boys on a great game !!!
